The 34rd Annual Debutante Ball for the Emerald Secondary College was held on Saturday 15th June 2024 at the “Cathies Lane Receptions” Cathies Lane, Wantirna South.
Twenty-seven couples were presented to family, friends, Cr Jack Kowarzik, Mayor, Shire of Cardinia- Officer Ward, Emerald Secondary College teachers Ms Grace Sleit, Year 11 Engagment Leader, and Mr Matthew Powell year’s 11 & 12 teacher, and Mrs Sangeeta Bajaj, President, The Rotary Club of Emerald and District Inc.
We had, at the time of printing 270 paid guests plus 54 Debutantes and Partners on the evening, and with the Official table and Service staff we had approximately 335 people attend the event.
The Dance Instructors from Debutantes on High, Andrew and Gayle, who have worked with our club for many years, have again done a brilliant job with the Debutantes and their partners.
John Henderson was MC and held the event together, hosting the evening along side the Dance Instructors Andrew and Gayle. John Henderson and Gayle Barrot introduced the Debs and Partners, and again did a wonderful job.
We had another very successful raffle this year with the two teachers from the Emerald Secondary College Grace Sleit and Matthew Powell, assisting with the sale of raffle tickets. The raffle prizes were again very generously donated by:

The DJ, Frank Scalzo again provided great music for the evening, and it was wonderful to see everyone up dancing.
The Debutantes and Partners looked stunning and a wonderful night was had by all.
