Dear friends,

This week we've had numerous occasions whereby Rotary fellowship, and our commitment to our members and community, has well and truly come to the fore.

We started last Tuesday night by enjoying dinner, followed by a choice of two movies at Cameo. One of the movies was enjoyed by all, the other, maybe not so much - however the time spent together, more than compensated for this choice. Many members also came along to the weekly Jolly Walkers walk on Sunday and enjoyed food and wine at a local winery. This proved to be a good way to encourage more members to join the not so insignificant 7km walk!

On Wednesday, our community was saddened by the deaths of two Police Officers in NE Victoria, and our club sent a card and flowers to our local Police Station to express our sympathy and support for all police members. Then yesterday, we learnt that Susi Wilson had a fall whilst running (where else) and was in hospital for an operation on her hip. Suzi is now recovering however most likely she won't be running again until December. Our members will keep in contact with Susi and help where and when we can.

All of these activities show that our club is not just a place where we meet, but a club full of people who care about each other, care for their local community and care for humanity. I'm heartened by this, but not surprised, as this trait has been with our club, and within our members, since the being chartered in 1980.

This Tuesday night, being our regular Club Night, we're delighted to have a presentation by Tracey Goldsworthy from Lambcare. This will be an interesting talk so please, as always, make her feel welcome. We may even have a little surprise!
