Hello, Bonjour and G’day!!

 

Welcome to the new decade – and the last 6 months of my reign!  Lol!!  You can soon breathe a sigh of relief as we hit the downhill slope – but watch out!  It’s not over yet and it’s going to be a busy slide to the end!  Hehehe

 

I hope you’ve all had a wonderful Christmas and a particularly festive New Year – and a Happy Australia Day!  Australian Summer is certainly a time of celebrations, isn’t it?!!  Gotta love iit!!!  

 

What a memorable couple of months it has been for me personally and I cannot thank my Rotary Family enough for the laughs, tears, shoulders of support,  gifts, messages, flowers, understanding, catering and general awesomeness.  A real roller coaster of fabulous birthday celebrations leading into Christmas joy to a New Year starting with major sadness.  I cannot tell you how much I have appreciated you all…so “Thank you,” is all I can say.

 

Although we’ve been on a bit of a Rotary Sojourn over the Christmas holidays, it seems like we’ve been very busy too.  The All American Car Show & Swap Meet committee have been super busy (and stressed) trying to get everything finalised for the event coming up in February.

 

The 40^th Anniversary Celebrations committee have also been hard at work trying to secure a suitably fabulous venue, get contact info for past members AND write the history of our wonderful club!!

 

We’ve had two fun and fabulous “Burnt Chop Nights” hosted by Sangeeta & Aneesh (not a chop in sight, but boy those curries were FAB) and then by Aly and Roy in their beautiful new home (how’s that kitchen!?) with meat cooked to absolute perfection.  Thank you to our hosts and to everyone who was able to come along and celebrate our Rotary friendships in such informal surrounds.

 

Time to hit the road running, so to speak.  The All American Car Show, Cocktails on the Catwalk, Deb Ball, 40^th Celebration….not to mention the DISTRICT CONFERENCE!!!  Yippee!!!   Now is the time to register!  One of my club goals is to have at least 25 people from our Club at Conference…a big ask I know, but I think we can do it…so please consider going!  It looks like it’s going to be terrific…paddle-steamers, wonderful speakers, a weekend away and most of all – fun with Our Club!!  I hope those of you who are sitting on the fence, take a leap of faith and join us!  Go on – you know you want to!!  ;)

 

This week’s conundrum, did I hear you ask?? 

Mrs Shady is lying dead on a bed.  On the floor beside it is a pair of scissors.  The scissors were instrumental in her death, yet there is no trace of blood.  Mrs Shady’s body reveals no sign of any cuts of bruises.  How could she have been murdered with the pair of scissors??
