Committee Reports
New members Conference Sunday 20th August at Kilsyth Club.
Danielle attended and found it worthwhile and informative. A selection of clubs was represented and the differences apparent. Good meeting minutes and sharing the workload was emphasised.
Community – PP PHF Emma Clark
In September the team are collecting woman’s clothing for First Impressions Clothing Exchange – allows domestic violence survivors and disadvantages to dress well at interviews.
Youth – PP PHF Marcus Adams
Malcolm Chiverton is still looking for volunteers to interview youth at the coming National Youth Forum. ESC breakfast club – looking for volunteers to assist on a Tuesday
International – PP PHF Tina McInerney
Donated $1550 (US $1000) to End Polio. As one of 1st ten clubs to donate attracts a further USD$500 (50%) from The Rotary Foundation. Our initial contribution of USD$1,000 becomes USD $2,500, which receives the Gates Foundation 2:1 match of an additional USD$5,000, giving a total contribution of USD$7,500. Confused? That is what is says in the August issue of DG’s Newsletter!
Tina is wrapping up the ESC’s Kitchen garden program and there is to be a morning tea at the school on Tuesday 29th 11am to thank Rotary and the Men’s shed. A Cardinia Council representative is scheduled to attend and Rotarians are welcome too.

A team meeting was held before Club meeting. Requested that recyclable items should be brough to the pub when next there – Tuesday 5thSeptember
