Guest Speaker Dominic Elfick
Spoke on effective public speaking.
Held every one spell bound for 18 minutes.
* Most people say that they would rather be dead than speak in public……
Dominic's response to this is ….. Would you rather be in the box or delivering the eulogy ?
Kerry Champness responded and thanked Dominic.

Well the 27th Annual All American Car Display is now behind us.
And, despite the seriously bad weather leading up to, and following the event - on the day it was dry.
However, that bad weather leading up to the event, and competition on the day from other car shows did impact on both the number of display cars and spectators that attended.
But despite that we made a healthy profit of $14,292 + $459 from the Fundraising Committee’s raffle.
That was up $2608 on last years figures.
The increase in profit is attributed to a couple of things:
- We increased the entry fee from $5 to $10/head – it had been $5 since 1993.
- Compared to the last couple of years, the infrastructure at the Toomuc Reserve venue allowed us to run the event without hiring:
- Traffic Control people – using the areas that we did, allowed us to manage the traffic our selves.
- Portable Toilets – The existing Reserve facilities meet our needs.
- Additional rubbish bins and skip. – again existing facilities met our needs.
Because of the problems that we had on the day with the Pakenham Football Club Market, the football club has undertaken, (if we return to Toomuc next year), to move their market to the week before our event.
A big thank you to the Committee
