What a wonderful evening Tuesday night was. It was well attended by our members, a number of dignitaries including our very own DG ‘We love you’ Ken, Past DGs Daryl Moran and his wife Jenny and Shia Smart and her husband Duncan, DG Elect Ian Ballantine, Waverley President Wil Cornelissen and his wife Sue, Belgrave President Gus Rozycki and his fiancé Rebecca, Diamond Creek Past President Linda Gidland and RSL President and former Rotarian Peter Maloney and his wife Gabby, past Rotarians David Gale and his wife Jonelle, Leigh Peters and Billy Crombie, past Rotaractor Belinda Volkmer (nee Green) and many friends (including from BNI) and family members.

It was also an honor to have PDG Daryl award Gus his PHF, and Ken to Daryl his PDG pin. 

 

Shalini we again thank you for your wonderful year and the incredible achievements presented in the Annual Report. Well done Kristine Ash for your efforts with compiling the excellent Annual Report. Wow is all I can say about what our Club achieved during the year!

 

Well done to Kristine Ash for the video of our Club’s year in pictures, my boy Nicholas and Colin Brown’s beautiful performance of Imagine; my Dad’s wonderful MC performance; Ken’s presentation of his appreciation of our Club’s involvement and support of his DG year, and of course the Spangles … twice!

 

And to repeat my message from Tuesday night, please remember that whilst members come and go for a variety of reasons, we are all custodians of our Club with the simple objective of enriching peoples’ lives, from those of our own members mainly through care and laughter, to the wider and global community mainly through compassion, manpower and fundraising.  It is an honour that I stand with you as a Rotarian, and I can’t wait to share this year with you all.
