This year I missed the annual ANZAC Day March which was the first time in well over 10 years, but I am sure that the Club would have done us proud and thanks to Ken for standing in and Vicki for coordinating the wreath this year. I strongly believe that it is important for us to remember and honour all those who made the ultimate sacrifice so that we could enjoy the life that we do and am very encouraged by the increasing number of younger people who seem to hold a similar view. I don’t know how may turned up at the dawn and mid-morning services but it is usually in the hundreds which is fantastic for a community our size. As Kris and I were staying in Echuca this week, we attended the service held there which was also very well attended and very respectfully done.
Urgent call: to date we have only had 6 people sign up (and two of those are Kris and I!) for the Cocktails on the Catwalk event scheduled for Saturday 25 May. PLEASE can you sign up if you are planning to attend ASAP and also spread the word with friends and family. We will need to make a go/no-go decision by the end of next week at the latest and at this stage, it looks like we may need to cancel which would be a pity.
Yours in Rotary,
President Ian Ash

WORLD IMMUNISATION WEEK
Each year, Rotary and our partners vaccinate 400 million children against polio. When a child receives the polio vaccine, their pinkie finger is marked with purple ink so health workers know which children are protected. You can help us provide even more vaccinations — and paint more pinkies purple — by making a donation today.
Help us raise funds for vaccinations, and increase awareness of our work to #EndPolio, during World Immunization Week, 24-30 April.
Cocktails on the Catwalk
Share, share, we need bums on seats!!!!! We now have Funky Trunks clothing in the line up - who could miss the guys in their boardshorts :) :)
WINTER SOLSTICE CHALLENGE
Don't curl up by the fire in the wintery weather - get moving and raise funds for the club. It would be great to raise just a little more at the end of the year so we can support the community early in Catherine's year and do all we want to this year - so go to the link below, set up your fundraising page, ask family and friends to support you and clock your steps from the 1 June. 10,000 a day keeps the Dr away!!!!
For good food, good fellowship and the opportunity for service through Rotary we give thanks
