President Marcus - Introduction
Guest speaker is not able to attend – Darleen Miles was going to speak all thing tattoos.
Presentation of Freda from the Conference so we can watch her presentation.
3 guests in the house tonight, Toni-Anne Griffin,Son AJ and partner, Brian.
Starting off with some sad news – Louise Borg passed away yesterday afternoon after a Cancer diagnosis in late December she was relatively young in early 70’s.
The club held a minute’s silence.
Ken, Don and Ian Wakefield were close mates, so they took Don out to lunch today. He is as good as can be expected as it has been a difficult couple of weeks. The girls have been fantastic. Service to be advised. Please keep Don and the family in your thoughts.
Louise was very private and kept in contact with Marcus’ mum, Jeanette.
Pride of Workmanship last Tuesday – many thanks to Ian Ash and your team – Hita Mistry, John Richie and Susi Wilson– thank you very much! The raffle was fantastic too – thank you Kelly.
Kids Cancer Centre cheque presentation – there was so much appreciation for the $150k raised over the last 3 events and gave us a lot of time and made us feel special. We realised the value of the contribution we have made.
Happy Birthday to Ken Miller on 1st April!
Happy Anniversary to Greg and Irene, 42 years and Sangeeta and Aneesh, 24 years.
This is Hita’s last meeting for 6 months as she is about to go on a tour around Australia.
On 10th April she will be a member for 1 year. What have you enjoyed the most? When joined it was about being connected with the community. She loves being involved where she can. Everything she has been involved in has been fantastic – the smile on the faces of those at the Pride of Workmanship. All the kids and the money we raised at the Kids Fun Run with Puffing Billy. All the members give their heart, love and time to the community.
Hita Mistry has organised the program this year and thank you for organising the speakers.
Video of Freda at the Rotary District Conference was played.
