President Marcus opened the meeting and welcomed Ben Hewish Hills Physiotherapy and members at home – Kelly & Andrew McAllister, Don Borg, Greg Adams, Tracey Bannister. Happy Birthday to Kelly this week.
Marcus provided a report on how Heather Nielsen is travelling following surgery. The Club will continue to reach out to her. And we were advised that Chris Adams has been diagnosed with Cancer and we will keep in contact with him. Kerry is still undergoing Chemo and members are in touch with him regularly.

2022-23 Fees
Treasurer Sangeeta Bajaj – outlined the Budget as distributed by email several days ago. Fees to be set at $300. Sangeeta moved the fee be accepted , John Shaw seconded the motion and carried. Sangeeta will now proceed to distribute the 2022/2023 fee invoices.

Toast to the Elderly - Lillian Liddy
I was born in England and lived in Camden Town. . I have memories of my father making a beautiful bread and butter pudding and my mother always cleaning the outside windows. We were very poor. I would make dolls out of leaves. The kids would chase me and say “Get Lilie Moules and I would always fall over as I always had broken shoes. I was however the top of my class in sport and science. I loved playing netball.
My father died very young which left my mother dying soon after of a broken heart. As a sudden orphan myself and my siblings were sent to an orphanage.
I lived in Ireland for 9 years and then came out to Australia at the age of 24 with my husband as he wanted to come to Australia. In Australia I worked in white wings on the production lines I also worked at Milliwatts which was a needle work place making electric blanks.. I had four children: Lori, Richard, Ken and Michael. Later in life I loved working in Op shops.
I enjoy my time in Emerald Glades. I know how to have a good laugh and enjoy life. I have an infectious laugh that can be heard throughout the home. I get involved in as much as I can and know how to live life to the fullest.
